There is such a thing as too thin…

Yea.. we call that the old bait and switch. However like young Lindsey and Nicole the Mac Book Air is too thin for its own good. Compromising function for style, The Macbook Air seeks to trump every other lap top in existence by obtaining the thickness of a playing card. Apple has outdone itself once again, but with a price tag of $1799.99, who exactly is the target demographic.

Sure thin is cool, but earlier I said certain functions were compromised. Sure mp3 is killing the CD, but I think you’d want the option to play cd/dvd/program disks on your laptop you just spent the gross national product of Prague on… alas you need an external drive to plug in.

Now I was reading an article about who the macbook appeals to and some douchebag student said this book is a perfect secondary computer when your other Laptop weighing in at a whopping 5 lbs compared to the lithe 2.7 lbs of the Air. My first thought is.. who the hell is this student. i was a student once and not only didn’t I have the money to cop numerous 2000 dollar laptops, but the Ramen Diet was in full effect. I mean shit I’d carry around an Apple Lisa if it saved my ass 2g’s back then.

The bottom line is, The Macbook Air… is a brick. Sure artsy yuppie pricks will whip out the Air in Starbucks where it is safe to do so. But with a hefty price tag and high profile media blitz… The Air will look like lunch to a couple of unsavory individuals who will Air you out with the Mac for ya air mac book. (I couldn’t help it)

If you want a Super Thin yet functional computer that isn’t as trendy as The Air, but gets the job done, Peep this.

And if you want another take on The Air..
here ya go
